My Number My Number Card will enable “proof of single status” this will be mandatory when registering for matchmaking apps, and is expected to help married people
Digital Minister Kono announced that in August 2024, family registry information and Myna Portal will be linked, and that “certificates of single status” will be available on Myna Portal. What do most people think about the possibility of providing certificates of single status? Here, we will look at the results of a survey on “certificates of single status” using My Number cards.
About one in three people answered “certificates of single status are not necessary”
“Matching App University” operated by Next Level Co., Ltd. conducted a survey of 352 unmarried men and women aged 18 to 39 on “their impressions of ’certificates of single status’ using My Number cards, their use in matching apps, and their linkage with matching apps operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, etc.”
First, when asked “What if you could provide a ’certificate of single status’ on Myna Portal?”, 32.1% answered “I don’t need it,” which means that about one in three people feel that it is not necessary. This may be because there are few situations in which it is used other than for finding a partner or marriage.
On the other hand, 21.0% of people answered that it would be easier to confirm whether someone is married, suggesting that those looking for love or marriage would find it beneficial to be able to prove their single status.
Also, as a certain number of people (19.9%) answered that they were worried about their personal information, it can be said that in order to popularize My Number Portal’s single status certificate, it is necessary to convey its safety through thorough security.
50% of people want a “single status certificate” to make their search for a partner safe and secure

Are you saying that there are married people who use dating apps? In that case, we should quickly introduce polygamy and take measures against the declining birthrate.
Those who are married but hide it and deceive other single people should be neutered. If they don’t hide it and the other person agrees, then it’s a perfect match for two scumbags.
We should expand student and senior discounts so that My Number cards can be used.
When buying alcohol or cigarettes, we should not only check age, but also check medical information to see if a doctor has prohibited you from drinking or smoking.
We should also expand things like checking for pregnant women when riding roller coasters.
