On the 15th, 79 years after the end of the war, a government-sponsored national memorial service for the war dead will be held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Approximately 4,300 people, including family members of the war dead and representatives from various fields, will attend the ceremony to mourn the approximately 3.1 million people who lost their lives in the last war. The ceremony was attended by the Emperor and Empress, Prime Minister Kishida, and representatives of bereaved families from around the country. After a minute of silence at noon, the Emperor will give a speech. The singing of the national anthem, which has been canceled since 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, is also scheduled to take place for the first time in five years.

Regardless of America’s intentions, as a defeated nation we couldn’t complain even though we were treated so badly, and yet we received a lot of help, so while those involved may still be resentful, those who survived feel grateful for the help they received.
What did Koreans do in the World War? Of course they did not participate in the war. They illegally occupied Takeshima, illegally entered Japan, abducted 4,000 Japanese fishermen, and massacred Japanese people who were repatriated from the mainland.
Times have changed and it’s far better than hanging out with China. The terms were exceptional for the time, and even though we were at war, we were friendly. We got a lot of technology and knowledge. It’s embarrassing to keep whining about it. There are a lot of people who are looking forward and moving forward. It’s different from K and C.
The Greater East Asia War was a war against racial discrimination and colonial rule by whites, and the US massacred the Japanese who were at the forefront of that war, and brainwashed them into believing that Japan was in the wrong.

History is seen through present-day glasses, after all. For today’s Japan, America is a source of income, either by exporting products or by generating dividends at local factories. Conversely, countries that have nothing to beat America are forever trapped in unfounded anti-American sentiment.
