He’s a great guy who refrained from participating in minor sports during the Olympics. An unknown, very minor soccer player who wasn’t able to make the most of his talent lol.
He’s hitting a good number of home runs, but a season batting average of over 30% is so hopeless that it’s disheartening. I wanted him to become a player like Judge, who can hit a lot of home runs while maintaining a batting average of 30%.
Even in Japan, players who hit both home runs and hits at a high level like Kondo and Gita are preferred over players like Yamakawa who only hit home runs. I don’t like hitters who hit only home runs, even if I don’t mind giving up on batting average.
