On August 23rd, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department dismissed a police inspector (56) from the Yoyogi Police Station’s Community Affairs Division (charged with assault and cruelty by a special public official) for assaulting a woman at a police box. According to the announcement, on June 19th, the man is accused of yelling at a woman in her 20s and pinning her to the floor at the Yoyogi-Uehara Station Police Box (Shibuya Ward), where he works.
