On the 26th, Nakahara Police Station and the Railway Police Unit arrested a company employee (31) from Shinsaku 4-chome, Takatsu Ward, Kawasaki City, on suspicion of non-consensual indecent assault. The arrest warrant alleges that between approximately 8:15 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. on July 19, on board a JR Nambu Line train traveling between Musashi-Shinjo and Musashi-Kosugi, the suspect committed lewd acts, including grabbing a woman’s hand and making her touch his lower body. According to police, the man has admitted to the charges. On the 18th of the same month, the woman went to the police station and reported that “the same man touched my breasts yesterday and today.” On the 19th, investigators from the same station rode the same train as the woman and kept watch over the surrounding area. The man was found, questioned, and then taken into custody voluntarily. The man’s crime was subsequently confirmed through security camera footage on the train and he was arrested.
