(FNN exclusive) A vehicle traveling the wrong way crashed and overturned at high speed on the Oarai Bypass in Ibaraki Prefecture. The dangerous moment when the car ran onto the median strip and skidded sideways was captured on video. The cameraman screamed in surprise at the sudden event. After the accident, he stopped his car and went to rescue the driver of the car going the wrong way. The photographer recalled, “I was screaming out of fear that at the very least, our car would collide with the (white) car next to us.” The wrong-way car continued sliding for nearly 100 metres before stopping just before colliding with the car behind it.
