A man claiming to be a restaurant employee was arrested in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, for pushing down an 80-year-old taxi driver, injuring him, and then refusing to pay the fare. Just before 10:00 a.m. on the 1st, a witness in Sumiyoshi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City called 110 to report that a passenger was hitting a taxi driver. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the taxi driver and a man lying on the street nearby. The 80-year-old male driver told police, “I chased the man who was trying to leave without paying the fare, and when I asked him to pay, he pushed me down and said, ’I’ll kill you.’” The male driver suffered minor injuries to his elbow. The suspect arrested on the spot on suspicion of robbery and assault is Kei Kojima (39), a self-proclaimed restaurant employee who lives near the scene. During questioning, Kojima is said to have said, “It’s my fault for drinking and getting drunk.” rkb Mainichi Broadcasting.

The worst part is that the taxi driver is 80 years old. It’s terrible that Japan has become this poor.

Alcohol is a drug that accounts for many incidents, accidents, and troubles, so it needs to be regulated more.

In terms of classification, or rather policy, this falls into the Ice Age
This age group is often included in measures to combat the Ice Age generation.

I was more surprised that an 80-year-old was working as a driver than the incident itself. Is this a world where people have to work even at 80?

Not 10pm, but 10am.
This is not a legitimate restaurant, even though the restaurant is self-proclaimed staff.

Crimes committed as a result of intoxication should be punished more severely. Crimes committed after drinking until one loses memory will be punished even more severely.
