Four men were arrested in Shari Town, Okhotsk, Hokkaido, for illegally fishing for 29 salmon. Police are investigating the case as possibly being the work of an anonymous, mobile crime group known as “Tokuryu.” The four suspects arrested on suspicion of violating the Fisheries Resources Protection Act were Ryuichi Myojin, a man claiming to be from Chiba Prefecture, and a man of Vietnamese nationality. The four are suspected of poaching 29 salmon in the Kaibetsu River in Shari Town on the 2nd. A police officer on patrol to check for illegal fishing spotted a group of about 10 people on both sides of the river. Some of them fled, but one man believed to be Vietnamese was arrested on the spot, and three others were arrested near the scene and in Shari Town. Police have not revealed whether the four have admitted to the crimes. Isn’t salmon poaching just a way for Hokkaido’s gangsters to make ends meet? They were probably forced to poach by the Yakuza and received a small amount of money from them.
They can do whatever they want, steal as much as they want, and if it gets too dangerous, they’ll return home immediately lol. Once the heat dies down, they’ll come back to Japan. Seriously.
If you want to learn a language other than English, I recommend Nguyen. Apparently the police are flooding in with requests for interpreters and there aren’t enough people. There’s too much crime in Nguyen.
