If you pay the admission fee you can ride the attractions as much as you want, but if you pay for the appetizer you can’t eat and drink as much as you want. That’s crazy.

But family restaurants don’t serve appetizers.

If the customer said this, I would understand, but would the store say it?

If that’s the case, I’d like them to give me something that matches the price. Because what I got for the appetizer was pretty lame.

It’s the same as with the rice at ramen restaurants, they should make it clear from the start.

I’ve never been to a restaurant that serves such lame, pointless food as an appetizer again.

It’s all thanks to etiquette instructors and some izakayas that they’ve created the etiquette and culture that it’s okay to decline an appetizer. At the moment it’s tough to absolutely serve one, and alcohol isn’t something you can sell for. They should charge around 3000 yen as a seat fee, and offer most of the food and alcohol at around cost price. Ideally, the profits would be the same even if people are stuck for one beer.

So the izakaya was an amusement park. I see.

I don’t like izakayas because they have local rules.

Next time I think I’ll just eat the appetizer and go home.
