Abe supporters demand PM Kishida resign, urge him to “take responsibility” for slush fund scandal

Liberal Democratic Party

On the 8th, Hideo Onishi, a member of the House of Representatives from the Abe faction of the Liberal Democratic Party, expressed his intention to call for Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (party president) to resign.

In a telephone interview with Jiji Press regarding the faction slush fund scandal, he said, “When I went around the region, I heard a lot of criticism that “the president, who is the person in charge, is not taking any responsibility.” He should take responsibility and step down.”

Onishi has been elected four times from Tokyo”s 16th district. He has served as Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Some within the party questioned Onishi”s remarks, saying, “It is not something that a member of the Abe faction, who caused the scandal, should say” (veteran).

Total amount of overseas distribution by Kishida administration
(as of May 2023)
India 5 trillion yen
Developing countries 8.8 trillion yen
Africa 4.1 trillion yen
Philippines 600 billion yen
Sri Lanka 4.6 billion yen
Ukraine 2 trillion yen
Indo-Pacific region 9 trillion yen
Total 28.25 trillion yen
As of June 2024, the figure is being recounted, but it appears to have exceeded 36 trillion yen
*Please refrain from making irrelevant replies such as “This is an investment!” or “They”re just lending!”
Is it necessary to distribute money even if it means raising taxes?

He himself has never been involved in any scandals, is rarely angry, is humble and friendly, and the reason why Kishida is hated like the plague is solely because of the austerity measures. It”s only natural that people are feeling the hardships of life, but if the people don”t be wise, they”ll just be swept away by the easy way out of the extravagant fiscal policy.

Although the public opinion of the Constitutional and Communist Party has been solidified, a third force such as the Japan Innovation Party has not developed at all, highlighting the fact that the LDP is the only option.
Is this a role to play in staging internal conflict in order to restructure the LDP?
0042Anonymous DonburakoJul. 9, 2024 (Tue) 07:22:10.15ID:1XReAp7T0
The Abe administration”s LDP approval rating is 35%, and individual approval rating is at least 30%.
The Kishida administration”s LDP approval rating is 25%, and individual approval rating is at least 17%.
10-15% of LDP supporters defected to the Kishida administration.

0049Anonymous DonburakoJul. 9, 2024 (Tue) 07:24:03.64ID:Ym6nMGsn0
Kishida told them to disband the Abe faction because they were involved in slush fund raising and tax evasion. Kishida was also involved in slush fund raising and was not indicted, so it”s no wonder that there would be riots within the party. But they want to stay in the ruling party, so they won”t split up. They don”t want to give up power and money.
0050Anonymous DonburakoJul. 9, 2024 (Tue) 07:24:28.88ID:lXPAi2xe0
This is a pattern that allows them to blame Kishida for the crisis in their party that they themselves have caused. The Abe faction is the LDP”s Ishimaru camp lol
