Two former bank employees were arrested on suspicion of defrauding a bank of approximately 50 million yen in loans by pretending that their company was in the black. The suspects arrested on suspicion of fraud are Noboru Hirai (50), a former employee of Resona Bank and a management consultant, and Hiromi Yamaguchi (59), president of interior design company Benrich. According to investigators, the two are suspected of falsifying financial statements in 2021, including inflating Benrich’s sales figures, to make it appear as if the company was operating in the black, and of defrauding banks of approximately 50 million yen in loans. Q: Do you recognize this as loan fraud?
[Suspect Hirai Noboru]: “Of course. The premise that led to the window dressing was the extravagant (management) of each company.”
Q: Is Hirai’s claim correct or incorrect?
[Suspect Yamaguchi Hiromi]: “I think it’s incorrect.”
Police are investigating the possibility that Hirai, who was a consultant for “Benrich,” led the crime. Kansai Television.

No, no, lol
They’re carrying a bomb “everywhere”, not “this time”, so if they want to hide the tree, they’re putting it out in the forest “now” where it will erode quickly, and disposing of it.

I asked the bank president why bank employees are paid so much, and he replied that if they are paid too little, they will embezzle.

In banks, regular employees are underpaid, but once you get a promotion, the pay rises.
So the UFJ safe deposit box theft was committed by someone with a promotion, so it’s pretty serious.
Even if you’re paid well, you still steal. It’s mentally terrible.

There’s been a lot of bank employees committing crimes lately. I wonder if banks are starting to investigate each other internally.
