record china Thursday, December 19, 2024 8:00 According to Chinese media Zhongguancun Online, less than 1% of electric vehicle (EV) owners want to go back to gasoline or diesel cars, according to a survey of 23,254 people in 18 countries conducted by the Global EV Alliance (GEVA). When asked what they would do if they had to buy a new car tomorrow, 92% said they would buy an EV again, 4% said they would buy a hybrid or plug-in hybrid, and less than 1% said they would buy a gasoline or diesel car. Petter Hauneland, deputy secretary general of the Norwegian EV Association, said the survey results “confirm that EV drivers are very happy with their choice and that reports of a decline in EV popularity have been greatly exaggerated.” Comments posted online about this topic in China include:

“Once you own an EV and experience its acceleration and quietness, you can’t go back to a gasoline car”
“Gasoline prices are still high”
“If I didn’t have to worry about my wallet, there are a few gasoline cars I’d like to try”
“I often drive long distances, so an EV is not an option”
“EV owners’ love for EVs is abnormal” (Translation and editing by Yanagawa)

When I look at the registered members, there are no registrations in China or Japan.
Since it is almost unknown in non-English speaking countries, the data may be quite biased.

Once you experience driving an EV, you can’t go back to a noisy gasoline car. That doesn’t matter to poor right-wing netizens though.

Especially if you drive on the highway a lot, you should avoid it.

The EV Federation’s survey is meaningless. It’s like the Soka Gakkai asking members like Hisamoto Masami and Ishihara Satomi if they want to switch to another religion.

I recently drove a gasoline car as a loaner for my car inspection, and it was definitely noisy.
It was a sister model to the HV I usually drive, so I found it strange.
If you normally drive an EV, you’ll probably find the HV noisy too.
But I still feel uneasy about the EV because I sometimes drive long distances.

At least in Japan, EVs are not yet a substitute for gasoline cars. They might be okay as a sub-car with limited uses, though.

Battery life: Hybrid = about 10 years, EV = about 3 years, Tesla battery replacement cost = over 3 million yen.

Battery replacement should also be subsidized
and essentially free
The funds would come from an increase in gasoline taxes.

In an interview with a neighbor, he said, “They weren’t military songs, or songs that young people these days like, so they listened to those kind of songs at a loud volume,” so it’s unclear whether they were military songs or not. And even if it’s a military song, right-wingers aren’t going to listen to that sort of thing lol. I think some guy pretending to be a right-winger might use it in Triumphant Return lol.
43Japanese (awakened).Dec. 20, 2024 (Fri) 07:30:48.73ID:/flQGgYg
Our country should follow the example of China, the EV powerhouse, and provide subsidies of up to 8 million yen for EVs, essentially making them free.

That’s why in China, you can’t get a license plate for a gasoline car, so everyone drives an EV.
