Shizuoka A Chinese woman was swept away while playing in the sea and was found in a lifebuoy after drifting 80km off the coast of Shimoda Chiba Prefecture for 36 hours
On the night of July 8th, a Chinese woman in her 20s went missing while playing at the beach in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, before the beach had opened for the season. However, two days later, on the morning of the 10th, she was found and rescued in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture, 80km away in a straight line from the beach where the incident occurred. The woman was suffering from dehydration, but her life is not in danger. The rescued woman is a Chinese woman in her 20s. According to the Shimoda Coast Guard, the woman had been playing in the water at Shirahama Ohama beach in Shimoda City on the night of the 8th, but for some reason disappeared from sight. An acquaintance who was with her reported that “her friend had not returned after going into the sea.” The beach where the incident occurred had not yet opened for the season. The woman was reportedly wearing a black swimsuit at the time. Police, firefighters, and the Japan Coast Guard conducted a search, but about 36 hours later, just before 8 a.m. on the 10th, she was discovered drifting in a life jacket off the coast of Nojimazaki, Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture, by a cargo ship sailing nearby. The tanker crew, who were contacted by the cargo ship, jumped into the water and secured the woman. The woman was handed over to the Yokohama Fire Department”s ambulance and taken to a hospital in Yokohama. The woman was suffering from dehydration and received intravenous treatment, but was conscious and in no danger of dying. The distance in a straight line from the beach where the woman went missing to the site where she was found was about 80 kilometers. If you”re adrift at sea with a shipwreck or a survivor of a ship that was sunk in the second war, your legs will get really mushy. Would 36 hours be okay?
I”m surprised they survived. The crew of the tanker are cool and it”s good news. However, the strange expression about putting your body inside the float is just annoying.
