On August 23rd, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department dismissed a police inspector (56) from the Yoyogi Police Station’s Community Affairs Division (charged with assault and cruelty by a special public official) for assaulting a woman at a police box. According to the announcement, on June 19th, the man is accused of yelling at a woman in her 20s and pinning her to the floor at the Yoyogi-Uehara Station Police Box (Shibuya Ward), where he works. The woman had been escorted to the police box by someone from a nearby facility after she had entered the facility without permission. Give them gentle orders, and if they don’t comply, handcuff them on the spot and call the detention center to request transportation. This happens all the time because they’re in a weird rush to solve the problem by force on the spot.
If he was just an ordinary person asking for directions, they wouldn’t understand, but they’re questioning him on suspicion of trespassing, right? That’s what they’re aiming for It’s no surprise that he’s been detained.

Anyone who says there’s nothing wrong with that is so stupid. Just stand up and talk. They must be thinking the same way as the people who commit assault like this.
