A 20-year-old male university student was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting rice balls at a supermarket, then pushing a store manager to the ground and breaking his leg.
On October 17th, the Hyogo Prefectural Police Amagasaki Kita Police Station arrested a male university student (20) from Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, on suspicion of robbery resulting in injury after he shoplifted at a supermarket, pushed down the store manager who chased after him, and seriously injured him. He was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting eight items (worth 1,477 yen), including rice balls, from a supermarket in Minami-Muko-no-sho 1, the same city, at around 10:00 a.m. on October 3rd, and then grabbing the arm of the store manager (54) who called out to him outside the store, pushing him down, causing serious injuries including a broken right elbow. During questioning, he admitted to the charges, saying, “When I realized I had been discovered shoplifting, I was worried about being caught, so I pushed him down and ran away.” According to the police station, the store manager stopped the man outside the store, asking, “You haven’t paid your money, have you?” and when he told him to come to the office, the man appeared to try to run away, and when the manager grabbed his backpack, he assaulted him. The man fled the scene but was later identified through security camera footage.
If he’d just been caught it would have been just theft, but to go as far as robbery and assault is something to me. Is there something wrong with his intelligence?
Prime Minister Ishiba gives speech in Shikoku in support of former Abe faction members not listed in campaign speeches. You guys, the LDP, are like a cheering squad for illegal part-time jobs.
Theft: Imprisonment for 1 month to 10 years or a fine of 10,000 to 500,000 yen. Robbery: Imprisonment for 5 years or more. Robbery resulting in injury: Life imprisonment or 6 years or more. Robbery resulting in death or murder: Death penalty or life imprisonment.
He’s not Hatta Yoichi, so if he gets found out he’ll get caught anyway. It’s so stupid to think he won’t get caught if he runs away on the spot. But that’s what the boss of the illegal part-time job seems to say.
