On the 17th, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Aoba Station arrested Kazuhiro Koyama (28), a part-time high school teacher from Shimoyagiri, Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, on suspicion of theft and other crimes.
According to the announcement, Koyama is suspected of breaking into a restaurant in Azamino, Aoba Ward, Yokohama City on March 22 and stealing about 600 yen in cash from the register. When questioned, he admitted to the charges, saying, “There is no mistake.” Koyama had been working as a part-timer at the restaurant until March last year.
Koyama is a graduate of Toyama Daiichi High School. He joined the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks as the first pick in the professional baseball development draft in 2015, and was notified that he was no longer part of the team in 2018.
