22-year-old suspect “I was hundreds of thousands of yen in unpaid taxes so I applied for a ’white job’” Prefectural police are investigating whether this is related to an illegal part-time job case.
In connection with the murder of resident Kanji Goto (75) at a house in Aoba Ward, Yokohama City, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police arrested a self-proclaimed sole proprietor, Mazuki Takada (22), of Inzai City, Chiba Prefecture, on suspicion of robbery and murder on the 19th and sent him to the prosecutor’s office on the 20th. Takada is said to have confessed, “I had hundreds of thousands of yen in unpaid taxes, so I searched on SNS (social networking service) for a part-time job where I could earn money in a short period of time,” and explained that he received instructions from his supervisor via a highly confidential communication app. The Kanagawa Prefectural Police are investigating whether there is any connection to a series of robberies and other crimes that have been committed in the Tokyo metropolitan area by perpetrators who applied for illegal part-time jobs. The arrest warrant was issued on suspicion of conspiring with his accomplices to break into Goto’s home around October 15th. He allegedly assaulted and killed Goto and stole approximately 200,000 yen in cash. He is said to have admitted to the charges. According to the prefectural police, Takada stated, “I found a post on social media titled ’White Case’ and connected with the person who gave me the instructions.” He sent his own identification and other documents to those in command, which allowed his personal information to be obtained, and he said, “I realized halfway through that I was going to be involved in a crime, but I was afraid of retaliation or my family being harmed, so I couldn’t quit.” He also explained that there were three people involved in the attack, including himself, and that he was “not acquainted” with the other two. Regarding Goto’s house, he said, “The location was specified by the person who gave me instructions,” and he stated that he went to Goto’s house with two others in his own car. Takada’s involvement emerged from footage of a car captured on a nearby security camera. Goto’s body was found inside his home on the 16th. Her hands and feet were bound with duct tape and her mouth was blocked. The estimated time of death is around the 15th. Approximately 200,000 yen in cash was stolen from Goto’s home, and several other items, including a necklace (with a total current value of approximately 300,000 yen), were also missing. The adhesive tape used to bind Goto bore the fingerprints of Shu Fujii (26), a suspect of unknown address and occupation who was arrested by the Chiba Prefectural Police on the 17th on suspicion of confinement for allegedly abducting a female resident (50) from a house in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. The Kanagawa Prefectural Police were searching for Fujii, believing him to be one of the perpetrators of the Yokohama incident. >>1 >He sent his ID and other documents to the person in charge and had his personal information discovered, >”Halfway through, he realized he was participating in a crime, but he was afraid of retaliation and his family being harmed, so he couldn’t leave.” What should he do? That’s what he’s saying. If he refused, another shady part-timer would actually come to his parents’ house to attack him, right?
“I have hundreds of thousands of yen in arrears on taxes. What kind of tax is it to be 22 years old and have hundreds of thousands of yen in arrears on taxes?
Stop talking like you’re a victim of being threatened by your boss for a secret job. Can a normal human being kill a human? Even a cat or a dog can’t kill a normal human being.
(´ⅴ`)ノ<The tax that young people are in arrears with is automobile tax. He’s probably just getting into debt and driving a Lexus because he’s an idiot.
When I was behind on my taxes, I called the tax department during my lunch break, but even when I came back at 1pm, the tax department staff wouldn’t let me hang up because I hadn’t promised to pay, so I got mad and said, “Are you trying to stop me from working?”
