A 47-year-old man was arrested on October 28th on suspicion of installing a small camera in a commercial facility restroom and secretly filming a man in his 40s. The man arrested on suspicion of photographing sexually explicit material is a 47-year-old company employee living in Hama, Kawazu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture. According to police investigations, the man is suspected of installing a small camera in a unisex restroom in a commercial facility in the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture at around 9:00 p.m. on October 24, and taking secret photos of a man in his 40s who lives in Shizuoka Prefecture. When the male victim used the restroom, he noticed the small camera and informed the facility, which then contacted the police, which is how the incident came to light. During police questioning, the man admitted to installing the camera, saying, “I installed the camera, but I didn’t intend to take pictures of the man,” but denied the charge of secretly taking pictures of the man.
