The teenagers arrested in the assault and death of a university student “stole the victim’s cards and divided the cash withdrawals,” resulting in a loss of tens of thousands of yen did they find out the victim’s PIN number during the assault?
[Ebetsu] In an investigation into the incident in which Tomoya Hase (20), a university student from Chitose City, was assaulted by a group of people and killed in a park in Ebetsu City, it was learned on the 31st through interviews with investigators that the teenagers arrested on suspicion of causing death by injury have stated that “we stole Hase’s cash card and withdrew cash from an ATM.” The PIN number is believed to have been obtained during the assault, and the boys said they “shared the cash.” Security cameras captured the perpetrator withdrawing cash from an ATM at a convenience store in Sapporo, and Ebetsu Police Station is investigating the incident, believing the loss to amount to tens of thousands of yen. According to investigators, Hase’s girlfriend, Ama Yagiwara (20), a university student from Ebetsu City (who has already been indicted on the same charges), has stated that “He asked me to break up a year later, and that’s when problems started.” The suspect had used the calling function on his smartphone to let a university student in the city, Haoto Kawamura (20), play the conversation he had with Hase just before the incident. *Previous thread.
What surprised me after reading >>1 was that Ama has already been referred to the prosecutor’s office. They’ve got almost uncontradicted statements from everyone.
I guess I wasn’t properly educated when I was little. I read Sunset on Third Street when I was little, and I learned that as long as you don’t hurt someone, it’s theft, and no matter how much money you buy, it’s not a serious crime.
>>16 I remember a bad senior asking me for 100 yen That probably wouldn’t be considered theft or blackmail If I said “no,” he would say “jump” and find out I had some coins He would say “Oh, he’s a liar” and be fond of me. That senior graduated from an American university and is working for a fairly large company. He’s doing pretty much the same thing, but he’s probably just trying to get within the legal bounds. It’s the same with politicians who use secret funds, they just aren’t killing people.
>>27 They show footage of some brat overseas being shocked after hearing that he’s been sentenced to life imprisonment, and I think they should do the same in Japan.
Thank goodness they did rob him in the end. These guys were just 20 years old and were given life sentences. If it had only been assault resulting in death, they would have gotten away with it by saying they didn’t think he would die, and they would have been let go after less than 10 years.
Assault resulting in death would be one thing, but robbery-murder isn’t…
I never said anything about taking the money It’s like ◯◯ was the one who took the lead I wonder if they’re trying to shift the blame onto each other with their statements.
The flip side of a life sentence is that he won’t have to worry about food. I’d like to see him sent to Russia or North Korea to be used however he likes, or used for clinical trials or something like that.
