On November 7, the Nagoya District Court handed down a suspended sentence to a former host who had forced a woman calling herself “Itadaki Joshi Riri-chan” to give him money. Defendant Yuji Tanaka (27), a former host in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, known as “Ookamitani Ayumu,” was charged with receiving a total of 38.5 million yen, knowing that the money was defrauded from a man by defendant Mai Watanabe (26), known as “Itadaki Joshi Riri-chan.” Defendant Tanaka has admitted to the charges in previous trials, and the prosecution has pointed out that he “aided and abetted defendant Watanabe’s fraudulent acts.” On the 7th, the Nagoya District Court sentenced him to three years in prison, suspended for five years, stating that “his motive for repeatedly receiving criminal proceeds and improving his status within the host club was selfish,” but also that “he had paid 18 million yen to the victim.”

This host realized the seriousness of the situation and voluntarily returned a considerable amount of money. Without this, he would probably have received a prison sentence.

This is a middle-man taking money from a woman called Riri-chan. If the old man gives money to the host, middle-man taking money can be eliminated. Middle-man taking money is bad.

Scams are when you trick someone into giving you money by saying that their parents are sick, etc.
Getting someone to give you money just because of romantic feelings is like selling a dream, so it’s not a crime.
