A male university student was arrested for allegedly stealing a cash card from an elderly woman in Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama. He stated, “I did so much that I don’t remember clearly.” Suspect Mizuki Iwami (23), a resident of Kobe City who is attending a national or public university in the Kansai region, is suspected of defrauding a woman in her 80s living in Tsurumi Ward of her home in December last year, obtaining three cash cards and withdrawing 225,000 yen in cash. According to police, the woman received a phone call from someone posing as a government employee who said, “You have a refund and it can be deposited into your account.” The woman then received a call from someone posing as an employee of a financial institution. When she provided her account information, she was told that her cash card was old and could not be processed, and was instructed to leave it with a nearby employee so that a new card could be issued. Iwami is said to have visited the woman’s home posing as a financial institution employee and taken three cash cards. He then withdrew cash from an ATM in Kanagawa Prefecture. He searched for “high paying part-time jobs” on social media and applied for shady part-time jobs, and contacted his supervisor using a highly confidential app. Continue reading below

No matter how good the treatment, it’s meaningless for people like this.
Like the former president of Daio Paper and Mizuhara Ippei.
