The Prefectural Police’s Third Investigation Division is investigating whether there is any connection to the series of robberies in the Tokyo metropolitan area. According to the department, the three were initially told by their supervisors that their job would be to transport luggage, but just before the operation, they were threatened using the personal information they had sent and instructed to “if anyone breaks into a house, swing a hammer over their head with all their might.” He was also instructed to purchase a hammer, which he brought with him to the site.
