On the night of July 11th, a 37-year-old man was arrested at a hot spring facility in Nakagawa Ward, Nagoya, pretending to be a woman while bathing in the women’s bath. The man was cross-dressing and reportedly said things like, “I’m a woman at heart.” The man arrested is a 37-year-old part-time worker (37) who lives in Midori Ward, and is suspected of trespassing when he entered the women’s bath at around 11:45pm on the 11th at a hot spring facility in Nakagawa Ward. The incident was discovered when a female customer, suspicious of the man washing himself in a bath towel, informed a staff member that there was a strange person in the women’s bath, and police officers who responded to the call made an arrest on the spot. According to the police, the man was cross-dressing and, during questioning, he partially denied the charges, saying, “I didn’t go in because I wanted to see naked women,” and stated, “I’m a woman at heart, but my body is a man.” Posted 6:24am, Fri, 7/12
I’m sure there will be a lot more of these guys in the future. Any trashy old man who gets caught and starts yelling about discrimination should be given the death penalty.
There are many cases both in Japan and overseas where men cross-dress or pretend to be female at heart, making women believe they have no interest in femininity, lulling them into letting their guard down and then sneaking around to commit indecent acts or rape them, so I think it’s a good idea to base the criteria on the presence or absence of male genitalia.
