On July 10th, a 77-year-old man was found collapsed in a state of cardiac arrest on the mountain trail at Gotembaguchi of Mt. Fuji. He was rescued by the Shizuoka Prefectural Police Mountain Rescue Team, but was later confirmed dead. The Shizuoka side of Mt. Fuji opened to the public on the 10th, but in just two days, three people have died.
According to the police, a climber found the man crouched on the mountain trail at the 8th station of Gotembaguchi of Mt. Fuji just after 5pm on the 10th, contacted a mountain hut, and an employee of the mountain hut called the police.

I think it would be a good idea to dig an underground tunnel to the top of the mountain and run a cable car through it. If it were easy to get to the top of Mt. Fuji in the middle of winter, I think it would definitely become a tourist attraction.
