15 high school students in Ota Ward, Tokyo, complained of feeling unwell after eating super spicy potato chips, and 14 have been taken to the hospital so far.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department and other sources, 14 female and 1 male first-year high school students at Rokugo Technical High School in Ota Ward complained of feeling unwell after eating super spicy potato chips just before 1:00 PM on the 16th. 14 of them complained of symptoms such as nausea and mouth pain and were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
All of them are conscious, but some students were taken to the hospital in wheelchairs.

It’s hard to imagine someone being unable to walk after eating a little bit of spicy food. It’s more natural to assume they were poisoned.
