Nikkan Sports [December 3, 2024 15:39] Former Chunichi pitcher Takuya Mitsuma (32), who opened the strawberry farm “Mitsuma Farm” this year, updated his x (formerly Twitter) account on the 3rd. He confessed that he had been subjected to pressure when selecting a strawberry variety. “When I was choosing seedlings for the third season, I applied to do it, but they responded in an oppressive manner, asking me what about the transfer? What about the money? They’ll withdraw your permission!” she wrote. He continued, “We carefully select the varieties so that everyone will think they’re delicious!” but then confessed, “The person who created the varieties responded like that, so I had to turn them down.” He continued, “Strawberries can only be produced because of primary producer farmers, so I think it is absolutely unacceptable to treat them so arrogantly based solely on licensing rights!” In another post, he said, “It’s a place that calls itself a public institution…so I have mixed feelings! Farmers! You can’t let your land get crushed and trampled!” Mitsuma said he was bullied by a fellow worker in May of this year, confessing, “The water valve was turned off.” Mitsuma played for Takasaki University of Health and Welfare (Gunma), Takachiho University, and the Musashi Heat Bears before joining the Chunichi Dragons as the third pick in the development draft in 2015. He was registered as a contracted player in 2016, and over his five years in the NPB he pitched in 77 games, with a record of four wins and three losses and an ERA of 5.24.
>>1 Isn’t he the one who was featured on TV the other day? I heard some people come to the farm because it’s run by a former professional baseball player… You’ll need insurance, but I think it would be a good idea to provide gloves and balls at the farm and market it as a strawberry farm where you can play catch with a former professional pitcher.
Mitsuma said he was bullied by a fellow worker in May of this year, confessing, “The water valve was turned off.” The bullying of farmers is so insidious… No wonder there’s a shortage of successors (laughs).
Even if what he says is 100% correct, if he can’t write properly his words will be half as persuasive. In the end, it’s him who loses out by disregarding words. I know this person doesn’t mean any harm, though.
Farmers, agricultural cooperatives, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and agriculture and fisheries lawmakers – Japan is declining because of these guys.
>>22 The city hall and the agricultural cooperative don’t get along that well. If this farmer is having trouble with both fellow farmers and public institutions, I think there must be some kind of problem.

It’s true, just like Musk said, there’s too much crap that’s just based on permits and licenses 😡.
Maybe an agricultural experiment station that owns the rights? I guess it’s because they’d be in trouble if they lost money, but if they pay cash it shouldn’t be a problem And as long as they follow the standards set to maintain the brand.
I don’t know what they were trying to make and where, but I think this kind of thing happens quite a bit when it comes to branding a place or variety. If anyone was welcome anywhere, it wouldn’t be a brand. It’s also thanks to the efforts of those who came before that it was branded.
