Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, is experimentally introducing a water dispenser developed by a private company that creates water from the air, and will be verifying the effect of reducing carbon dioxide emissions through the use of personal bottles over the next year. Tomioka city has trialed a water dispenser developed by a Tokyo company that produces drinking water from water vapor in the air, with each unit producing up to 33 liters of water per day. The city borrowed five of these water dispensers and will install them at city hall, the civic gymnasium, etc. from the 16th, and will verify the carbon dioxide reduction effect of using personal bottles over the next year.

That requires a huge amount of energy, right?
It’s not worth it.

Isn’t 33 liters a day too inefficient? Wouldn’t it be better to collect rainwater in a pool and purify it?

Do you need a humidifier because it dries out the air?

I’ve come up with a crazy perpetual motion machine…
If you humidify the air with the water you create, you can make water forever.

If it could be reduced to the size of a plastic bottle, it would be an essential survival tool.

You have the freedom to do stupid things like this, but you must never use tax money to do it.

That’s the issue, not about my bottle. However, its usefulness depends on how much electricity it consumes.

If you then use the carbon dioxide in the air to carbonate the water, it’s perfect.

I wonder if hygiene is being managed properly.

If it can be made for 5 yen per liter and purifies the water perfectly, it’ll be a big seller. I think it’s around 50 yen for 2 liters on the market.
