Teikoku Databank, 11:08, December 10th (Tue) Medical Corporation Mimikakai (tdb company code: 644001221, total assets of 4,444,472,288 yen, 4-3-9 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo, registered address: 2-1-1 Daimon-cho, Omiya-ku, Saitama-shi, Saitama, chairman: Jiro Karō) and its related corporation, General Incorporated Association Hassakurakai (tdb company code: 148060559, registered address: 1-21-5 Minamiikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo, representative director) filed for bankruptcy with the Tokyo District Court on December 10th, and received a decision to commence bankruptcy proceedings on the same day. Attorney Harunobu Shiho has been appointed as the bankruptcy trustee. The medical corporation, Bimikai, was founded in January 2010 and reorganized in September of the same year. The company operates Alicia Clinics nationwide, which provide elective medical hair removal and medical laser hair removal services, and has increased its name recognition through television commercials and other means, recording annual revenues of approximately 16.315 billion yen in the April 2021 period, its peak year. The general incorporated association Yaoukai was established in July 2021 (Reiwa 3) and operated the medical hair removal clinic “Jibun Clinic,” but changed the facility’s name to “Alicia Clinic” in July of this year. Bimikai and Hasoukai were operating as group corporations of MC Networks Japan Co., Ltd. (tdb company code: 986663855), which operated the beauty hair removal salon Ginza Color, but left the group in November 2023. In December of the same year, the group’s de facto CEO suddenly passed away, and MC Networks Japan, Inc. received a decision to begin bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, on October 28th of this year, First Consulting Co., Ltd. (same number: 981290400), which acted as the recruitment office for Ginza Color, received a decision to start bankruptcy proceedings, resulting in the company owing an unpaid balance of approximately 7.52559 billion yen (balance as of the end of October 2023). On the 4th of this month, the company announced a “temporary suspension of free counseling services due to a system failure,” and attention was focused on the company’s future developments. The store was notified of temporary closures (photographed on December 10th). Mimikai’s liabilities are approximately 7,295,460,000 yen to approximately 57,498 creditors, while Hassakurakai’s are approximately 5,175,870,000 yen to approximately 34,320 creditors, for a total of approximately 12,471,330,000 yen to approximately 91,818 creditors for the two companies.
