Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of “Final Fantasy”, revealed which game in the series he thinks is the “most complete”. Apparently fan-favorite Final Fantasy VII doesn’t fall into that category. Sakaguchi told Inverse that Final Fantasy VI comes out on top. Released in 1994, this was the last 2D title in the Final Fantasy series. Then in 1997, Final Fantasy VII was released for the original PlayStation, redefining the series. “If we’re talking about the most complete Final Fantasy, then Final Fantasy VI is the closest. “In particular, it was the last Final Fantasy game to use pixel art throughout its visuals, so it definitely stands out from the rest,” Sakaguchi said. FF started to get weird from FF6.
