Okada Yumi is annoyed with her ex-boyfriend who is a “eater” “I made some somen noodles for him, but...” She “doesn’t think it’s bad” to eat other people’s share.
10/16 (Wed) 16:10 Talent Yui Okada (24) will appear on Nippon Television’s “Ueda and the Woman Howling Deep Night” (Tuesdays 11:59 p.m.) broadcast on the 15th. She told us an episode about a man she dated in the past. Okada said that a man she had dated in the past was what is known as a “devourer” – someone who would eat an entire platter of food by himself or eat other people’s food without permission. Okada began by saying, “A long time ago, I made somen noodles for my ex-boyfriend in the summer,” and went on to share an episode of when she cooked for a man. When he put the boiled somen noodles into bite-sized pieces on a large plate to make them easier to eat, he said, “I forgot something and went back to get it (in the kitchen), and there were only two somen noodles left out of the eight I had served. “I could only eat two,” the man said, having “eaten all” the somen noodles. She pulled herself together and boiled some more somen noodles, but then said, “I made eight more and only two were left,” causing an uproar in the studio. Okada sighed and said, “I don’t think it’s a bad thing (to eat other people’s share).”
I often hear stories of dads who eat everything, even the side dishes and snacks that are meant for their kids, and I wonder what kind of mentality they have.
>>26 This was pretty much a daily occurrence, and when my mother shared the plate to ensure there was enough food for the kids, my father would yell with bloodshot eyes, “Are you trying to harass me or are you saying I’m not working hard enough?”
I think the original portion size was about 3:1. So the boyfriend calculated it and ate 6, leaving 2 for the woman. He also ate some extra, so it’s not like he ate until he was full, and I think he was being considerate considering the small portion size to begin with.
>>30 I’d understand if he’d eaten it all, but I don’t get why he’s calling it a “eat it all” thing when he still had some left for Okada to eat I mean, he should just be more sensible about what he eats.
The gluttony type is a hot topic on Grape and Galchan. Even if you cook for yourself, you eat it by yourself. If you eat alone, or your mother serves you food one by one and you get used to the atmosphere, you usually become a glutton.
The initial amount was so small that he mistakenly thought she had gone to the kitchen to get something she had forgotten, but instead went to boil more noodles, and when she regained her composure and returned with more boiled noodles, he thought, “Great, bring more!” and ate heartily. Or was there no conversation during that time?
If food is served on a large platter for a family of four, I eat a little at a time while watching the pace at which the kids eat, and if there’s any left over, I share it with my wife. I wonder if people who eat everything eat their children’s food as well.
>>45 If it’s hidden, you won’t know Mizuhara Ippei was always treated as a good person until it was discovered that he had stolen 2.63 billion yen from Otani’s account, and after that, it was revealed that he was a heavy smoker and didn’t listen to reporters.
