Takei So responds to comments saying “it’s easy being a celebrity” and laments that even with a college degree he only makes ¥200,000 a month, saying “it’s the path you chose for yourself.”
10/25 (Fri) 18:32 Distribution Sponichi Annex Talent So Takei (51) updated his x (formerly Twitter) by the 25th, responding to criticism such as “It’s good to be a celebrity, you can make money easily.” Takei said, “It’s great to be a celebrity, you get to make money easily. There are people who say, ’Even though I have a college degree, I work hard and don’t even get a salary of 200,000 yen,’” he started, to which she suggested, “If you think it’s easy, then why not go into entertainment, haha?” “Or you could just get the qualifications and skills that will allow you to earn money without having to cough up blood. You must have had a ton of time while you were at university. If you think you can make money easily, why don’t you do it? Instead of working yourself to the bone, why don’t you try entertainment? Lol. No one is stopping you, the door is open! I started out with nothing and became an entertainer at the age of 39!” he wrote, sharing his own experience. “Please give it a try! If it sells, you’ll certainly make more money than your blood-sucking job and you’ll have easier things in life,” she posted, “Don’t criticize other people’s work! It’s the path you chose, so before you say the path someone else chose is easy or whatever, you should raise the level you’re on yourself!”
I’m sure he said something rude in a DM or reply or something, but I wish he would say that directly to that person. It’s really unpleasant to have a fight in front of the general public. Or maybe he didn’t want to beat that person, but rather wanted to speak to the general public.
You have a small tolerance. The world works because there are people who work for low wages in jobs that don’t require a high level of education or qualifications. I know I’m annoying you, but don’t try and avoid the issue by trying to make it right.
For example, many people call police officers and civil servants “tax thieves,” but do police officers and civil servants get angry and argue back? No. Considering that, it’s no wonder people say that being a celebrity is an easy job if you can get away with losing your temper without thinking about the consequences.
Even though Takei So’s athletic performance as a student is probably very different from that of the average person, I think he was able to get through a much harder gate to college than most.
It’s the same as when Beat Takeshi was once told, “It must be easy being a comedian because you get paid just by talking,” to which he replied, “It’s easy, you should do it too.”
I like the BS World House Show, but the MC is Takei, who doesn’t fit the atmosphere of the show at all and I don’t understand why he’s on there, I really wish they’d replace him with someone else.
