A friend of Nao’s accuses former “Idoling!!!” leader of being sexually assaulted by Matsumoto Hitoshi… new allegations make TV return even more unlikely As the ripples continue to spread over Matsumoto Hitoshi’s (61) withdrawal of his defamation lawsuit against Shukan Bunshun, former leader of “Idoling!!!” and now a voice trainer, Endo Mai (36), posted on her own x account on the 12th that “Nao’s friend was sexually assaulted by Matsumoto and others in a hotel,” sparking outrage. Endo has posted about sexual assaults before, but in response to a user’s question about why she was bringing up Matsumoto’s name now, she said, “I am also a woman and have suffered sexual harassment and sexual assault, but I believe that honey traps and false accusations are unacceptable. I’m not keeping up with the explanation, but a close friend of mine was sexually assaulted by Matsumoto and others in a hotel. “I saw that an article with similar content had come out from Bunshun and was about to be hushed up, so I just couldn’t sit still, and now I’m doing it,” he replied. “What I’m trying to say is that I will fight on our side. “When I know someone close to me who has suffered as a result of sexual assault, I feel that I need to stand up to prevent the same thing from happening again in the future,” she wrote resolutely, but some “Matsumoto defenders” are hurling abuse at Endo that goes beyond defamation. A desk editor from a variety show explains. “The fact that Matsumoto’s side has withdrawn the defamation lawsuit can be seen as a declaration of intent that they will not be filing lawsuits in the future. Therefore, those making the accusation can do so with peace of mind in a sense. “Although the stage is not limited to weekly magazine media, this phenomenon may continue in the future.”
Distrustful sponsors avoid risk Endo posted for his friend out of a sense of righteous indignation, but if more stories like this keep coming out, even after the trial is over, public suspicions about his “other crimes” are unlikely to disappear forever. “Matsumoto’s side claims that ‘we have confirmed that there is no physical evidence that directly indicates the presence or absence of coercion,’ but that is not the point. The fact that he had a junior comedian bring an amateur woman to the hotel on the pretense of a drinking party and then bring her into the suite room next door is causing a bad feeling. Whether or not this is true is unclear, but if these rumours continue, sponsors of the show will become suspicious and will be forced to be even more cautious about Matsumoto’s return to terrestrial TV in order to avoid risk. However, Matsumoto’s side cannot sue for defamation, so the only way to deal with the situation would be to ignore it and wait for time to pass, or to try to settle behind closed doors or to apply some kind of pressure. Either way, Matsumoto’s return to terrestrial TV is now more remote than ever.” (The aforementioned Variety Show Desk) There doesn’t appear to be any time soon for Matsumoto to return to terrestrial TV. The withdrawal of Matsumoto Hitoshi’s lawsuit has resulted in a settlement that is undeniably ambiguous, but the true intention behind it may lie elsewhere.
>>1 I wrote something similar in July Endo Mai has no ability to learn Endo Mai Voice Trainer @endo_mai2 To be honest, I’ve become estranged from that friend and can’t confirm the truth, so I don’t know what’s true. I apologize to everyone involved if I spread lies believing them to be true, but because the situation is complicated I would like to wait until the verdict is reached. 12:25 PM · July 6, 2024.
>>1 I wrote something like this a long time ago, but I didn’t provide any evidence and I’m just accusing people of things I’ve heard that I don’t know if they’re true or not. Endo Mai Voice Trainer @endo_mai2 Thank you for your encouragement and opinions. I have no evidence of any of the past incidents. I have no intention of filing a real name accusation or prosecuting the perpetrator, but even if I wanted to, it would be difficult to prove that I was a victim. False accusations can also destroy the lives of those who are accused. I also believe that it is unfair that people can be tried based on unsubstantiated accusations. 17:51・2024/01/01.
They were idling. The person involved, A-san, compromised with that apology and said they would each move on, but by blurring it and bringing it up again by saying she heard it from a friend (probably A-san), they are preventing Matsumoto from returning.
And just as he gets closer to returning, new revelations come out that put him further away from returning… It seems like this will continue forever and he won’t be able to return.
Mai Endo, who said that her friend was sexually assaulted by Matsumoto Hitoshi, has apologized, saying, “It was careless of me to make a statement that was definitive when the truth was unknown.”★2 [Negi Udon★]
>>27 That’s all there is to it. He was just criticizing people for things that were unclear as to whether they were true or not. He also said things that were supposedly said by friends. One was that they were estranged from each other, and the other was that they were estranged. It was strange from the start that he was so definitive about this relationship.
Matsumoto has so many other crimes that it’s 100% impossible for him to return to television. With over 10 people testifying, he’s like Johnny Kitagawa.
The third-rate media is trying to destroy the very fabric of this country. They disregard the law and try to socially eliminate people they don’t like by creating an atmosphere they have created themselves. But they are all gossip media. The mainstream media needs to show some common sense.
I guess he’s paying the price for treating women like a toy. There’s no way he’ll be able to return to TV. No one’s going to get sponsors for such a dangerous talent.
