[24 Hour TV] Yasuko runs 81km, prepared to retire temporarily...Marathon fundraising exceeds 400 million yen, alone raising roughly half of last year’s total amount.
Yasuko injured during “24 Hour TV” marathon, prepared to retire at one point, “It hurt every time I landed on the ground” Comedian Yasuko (25), who took on the “Nationwide Fundraising Marathon for Child Care Facilities” challenge on Nippon Television’s “24 Hour TV 47” (31 days 6:30 pm – 1 day 8:54 pm), appeared live on the same station’s “Gyoretsu no Dekiru Soudanjo” (Sunday 9:00 pm). He revealed that he had twisted his left ankle during the marathon. Yasuko completed the 80km distance. The finish line was at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. It was announced that the total amount raised through the “Marathon Child Welfare Facility Fund” had reached 438,014,800 yen. Last year’s total donations were 848,059,341 yen. I ended up collecting about half of it by myself. Yasuko appeared in the studio and said, “Thank you for your hard work!” Although her voice sounded cheerful, she revealed that “my leg got a bit twisted on the rough road and stretched out.” He appeared to be in considerable pain, saying, “It hurt every time I landed on the ground.” “My mood started to drop after that, but thanks to the people along the road and the supporters I was able to finish the race safely,” he said, expressing his gratitude for the support. Looking back on the VTR, he said, “By the evening, I was completely carried away. Actually, I can tell you this… I mean, the distance wasn’t explained, but I ran 81 kilometers. At the 50km mark, with about 30km left, it started pouring down. When I sprained my ankle, I really thought I might not be able to finish the race,” he recalled. “I pushed myself, thinking, “What if I fail this?” “It was really difficult,” he said, revealing that he struggled to control his emotions, and at the final performance at the Kokugikan Sumo Hall, he said, “I thought it was the first and last time, so I was running as hard as I could, wanting to see everyone, but then the tears just wouldn’t stop.”
>>1 If even the Mainichi Shimbun affiliate Sponichi is promoting it for 24 hours I wonder if Dentsu is asking them to “please take care of it (_^_)” lol.
>>1 NTV should be thankful to Fuwa. Fuwa made such a stupid post at such a good time. If it weren’t for that it would have been completely finished. Both Fuwa and Typhoon assisted NTV. Yasuko received a lot of sympathy.
The money was donated, I didn’t collect it all by myself. This kind of way of thinking will lead to the next injustice. Do you understand that? 24 hours.
