[Wipe] “It’s too distracting,” “It ruins the skit,”... Unexpected booing at the selection of best shows on “It’s 8 o’clock! All together!” “We just wanted to enjoy the Drifters.”
On September 16th, the TBS special program “Tonight is back! It’s 8 o’clock! Everyone gather together for a laugh, but it’s inappropriate! The best 20 legendary comedy sketches from the Drifters!” was broadcast. This program generously presents some of the best skits from the legendary variety show “All Together,” which aired for 16 years from 1969 and recorded a peak audience rating of 50.5%. In addition to the familiar “tongue twisters” and “beard dance,” many of the classic skits from the successor show, “Katchan Kenchan Gokigen TV” (1986-1992), were also broadcast. At x, many people commented that they enjoyed the “Showa era laughter,” saying, “The Drifters were so funny lol. Comedy that can only be done in the past is one of a kind and the best lol.” However, there are also voices like this… “It’s 8 o’clock! I’m happy to see everyone together again, but the wipes are really unnecessary, they’re too distracting.” “I want to enjoy the Drifters, but the wipes are distracting! This is a show that shows the Drifters’ skits, so we don’t need the reactions of the studio guests.” “We really don’t need cut-ins with celebrities. In fact, stop it. It’s ruining a great Drifters comedy skit. No unnecessary comments needed. The show invited 500 parents and children, as well as celebrities, to Mitaka City Public Hall, where the first public recording of “All Together” was held, and the program was edited so that their reactions were inserted between the skits. Throughout the skit, wipes were displayed on the screen, showing Nagase Ren, Cheating Takeyama, and child actor Nagao Yuno laughing at the skit. *For more information, please see the source below. 9/17 (Tue) 19:53 smartflash.
>>4 The voices of the regulars and guests in the studio, such as Hideki Takahashi, Maasa, Yuchami, Kamichopa, and Kayoko Okubo, are very annoying and loud.
>>7 The Nakamori Akina and Matchi thing was like 35 years ago Even now, it’s pretty rude to say “Johnny’s talent” to both of them Younger Johnny’s talents are irrelevant, and Akina probably thinks the same.
Takeyama’s smug face as if he knows what he’s talking about is gross. Who the hell did that weird duo that was pushing Yoshimoto Gori think they were on the show?
>>18 They often say it’s free, but the price of the products advertised on TV includes the advertising fee, so isn’t it the case that the buyer is paying a certain percentage of the cost?
It’s also the viewers’ fault for not showing any negative reaction to the wipes. If they didn’t watch those shows, they would have been naturally weeded out.
Wipes are a nuisance even in shows where you’re just watching a video. If they did away with them, they wouldn’t need to invite comedians, and they’d save money.
>>30 It might be a show that adds sound effects and voice actor narration that aren’t in the original video, to create jobs for the studio, staff, voice actors, etc.
I didn’t mind the wipes and stuff, but in the dark skit there was a narrator warning me to watch as if it was pitch black, so I was like, oh no… That was more shocking than the staff that came after that.
TV people have stopped thinking, so even if you ask them “Why did you put in that annoying wipe?” they can only answer “Because everyone else is doing it.” Of course, this doesn’t just apply to wipes.
The person who first came up with the wipe and stage presentation is certainly a genius, but will there ever come a day when they realize that the majority of incompetent people who just use the format without thinking are ruining television?
The studio segments and wipes on variety shows are really distracting. Shows like 100 Cameras have a good plot but Audrey and the others ruin the appeal. It would be better if they just had one host and a narrator.
