Yuka Kinoshita, a popular competitive eater YouTuber with over 5 million subscribers, confesses to suffering from severe depression, saying she is “scared of everything” and cannot leave the house.
On the 24th, Yuka Kinoshita, a popular competitive eating YouTuber with over 5 million subscribers, updated her x (formerly Twitter) and reported on her current situation. In her first update since January of this year, she wrote, “I previously talked about my experience with manic depression. I have developed depression again. I have experienced depression several times before, but this time it was so severe that I had never experienced it before, and I was unable to even report it on YouTube or social media. I am truly sorry,” he said, apologizing. “I was scared of YouTube, social media, and everything related to my activities. I can’t find the right words to describe it, but just thinking about it made me sad, so when I took a break I couldn’t get involved at all. I couldn’t watch or think about YouTube or social media that weren’t my own, or see private LINE messages, regardless of who it was. Just getting a notification was terrifying. I couldn’t get involved with people, and I couldn’t leave the house for several months.” Kinoshita also said, “I should have dealt with this before it got to this point,” but added, “It’s painful now, but it’s OK → I can’t do it, but I’ll recover if I take a break, and then all at once I’ve fallen into the most severe state of depression.” By “putting it off,” she ended up with an unexpected illness. >>1 If you look at the third picture, if a person with a mental illness keeps a cat, their condition will worsen. Because cats cannot build trusting relationships, it will continue to worsen.
I used to watch her all the time but had forgotten about her existence. I guess this person was originally like that, since most regular-sized celebrities who eat a lot have binge eating and vomiting caused by mental illness.
Apparently it’s normal for people who participate in competitive eating events to throw up everything they eat without a second thought. If you live like that every day, it’s only natural that you’ll become mentally ill. Well, if I didn’t throw up I’d get diabetes in no time. Wait, if you calculate the calories, it’s probably 10,000 kcal, right? And then if that attracts a lot of curious eyes and some lying thugs spread all sorts of lies about you, it must be even more mentally draining.
Eating a lot doesn’t seem to be good for the autonomic nervous system. For now, I’ll try to get some sleep, exercise, and a morning walk to get myself in shape.
Big eaters should really understand how much exercise they need to burn off 10,000 calories. For example, to burn 10,000 kcal while riding a road bike, you would need to ride about 250km to 300km at a cruising speed of 30km/h. If you want to burn off the extra calories you’ve taken in through exercise, you’ll have to do some pretty intense aerobic exercise to burn them off. If you continue that for a year without burning off the calories through exercise, you can imagine what would happen, and it would be a pretty horrifying story. It’s tough even for professionals. That’s what satiation is.
