Tochu October 3, 2024 19:17 Former nuisance YouTuber Hezumaryu (33) has been inundated with criticism for “patrolling” deer in Nara. Hezumaryu has repeatedly made statements and taken actions that appear to be intended to gain attention, such as volunteering for the Noto Peninsula earthquake and declaring his candidacy for the Tokyo gubernatorial election. In July, he posted on his x (formerly Twitter) account, “I will issue a stern warning against foreign tourists who abuse the deer in Nara Park,” and began a new project. On September 30th, he posted a video on his account showing what appeared to be a Chinese couple and a child. “I really want to protect the deer in Nara Park. That’s why I seriously warn Chinese people,” and “A Chinese woman hit a deer with a plastic bottle, so I told her off, but she got angry at me,” he claimed. This has led to reactions that resemble hate speech, such as, “Chinese people are really unacceptable,” and “People like this shouldn’t be allowed into Japan so easily.” However, the video in question shows Hezumaryu yelling, “Hey! Get out of Japan!”, but does not show the Chinese couple allegedly hitting the deer with the plastic bottle. Furthermore, in x, a Chinese couple told us, “At that time, the wife would hold deer crackers in her hands and feed them to the deer. Even after finishing its meal, the deer set its sights on the remaining deer crackers and chased after them. In her fear, she tried to block the deer’s head with the bottle she was holding. At that moment, a Japanese influencer suddenly appeared with a camera and began yelling hysterically, criticizing the couple. There were also Chinese posts claiming that “The Chinese couple are permanent residents and are very disappointed by what happened, and said they would tell their Chinese friends never to visit Nara again.” The truth of this is unknown, but regarding Hezumaryu, there were comments such as, “Even though there was no evidence of the moment she was bashing him, her face was exposed and her followers are spouting hate towards Chinese people, it’s the worst,” and “She’s a disgrace to Japan.” “It has taken away the enjoyment of sightseeing in Nara for the Chinese people,” “It’s just a way to make some quick cash by exploiting discrimination against foreigners,” and “The perpetrators are Chinese people, and the victims are speechless animals: deer.” Is it just as Hezumaryu had hoped? So he can manipulate the ignorant at will. There has been strong criticism, such as “I can’t believe this.” Hezumaryu also posted at the end of August, “A Chinese person kicked the deer like a soccer ball so I quickly turned the camera on.” However, although the video in question shows a man playing with the deer with its front legs raised, with the toes of his shoes pressed together in a “shake hands” pose, there is no sign of the deer actually “kicking” the deer.
Those who scream hate whenever something is said about a foreigner are silent when it comes to hate crimes committed by Chinese people against Japanese people.
> Hezumaryu visits the slanderer’s home with his lawyer and settles for 500,000 yen: “He didn’t have any savings, so I took it from his parents. Next up: a woman’s home in Saitama Prefecture.” The “slander settlement money business” started by the National Party of Japan, targeting critics. Some of the victims suffer from mental illnesses. Are the N-Koku gang also running a “slander settlement money business” targeting critics?
> Hezumaryu’s deer patrol in Nara Park is flooded with criticism: “Chinese hate” and “Japan’s shame” Everything related to Hezumaryu is fake. I think there is a group of people supporting them.
Whether it’s a fight or a traffic accident, the standard practice is to take the parts that suit you and use them to your advantage. The people who take one side’s story and video at face value and flock together to watch it are the idiots. NHK uses this method to bias its reporting.
