A 17-year-old American train-photography YouTuber has been charged with derailing a train just to get some “crazy footage.” American media outlet KOLN TV reported this the other day. Three months ago, the American train-photography YouTube channel “Capitol City Rail Productions” uploaded footage of a “derailment” with the title “Loaded BNSF (freight railroad company) train collide and derail in Bennett, Nebraska! Craziest video ever captured!” While other videos have only a few hundred views, this one has been viewed nearly half a million times. The video description reads: “Through captivating footage and gripping narration, witness the thunderous crash of metal on metal and the miraculous survival of the crew who escaped unscathed.” A freight train accident occurred in Bennett on April 21st, when a moving freight train collided with an empty freight train that was parked on the tracks and derailed. The damage amounted to $350,000 (approximately 53.8 million yen). A 17-year-old train photographer who runs a YouTube channel captured the exact moment of the accident. The boy was the first to report the derailment, showed the footage to investigators who responded to the scene and also provided video to local news stations. However, the boy was charged with two counts of criminal damage to property for causing the train derailment. It is believed that the position of the switch was changed, causing the derailment. You may think you’re cool for making fun of train photographers, but when you think “what did that train look like?” and google it, you see vivid, beautiful images of the train most of those images were taken by train photographers, right? official images from JR and other companies just post a picture of the train you can get to know the train in action by looking at a picture that is full of life and realism as it majestically runs through beautiful scenery I think it’s shameful to make fun of train photographers while enjoying their blessings.
