COLABO, an organization that supports teenage girls facing difficulties such as poverty and domestic violence, has been subjected to various libelous comments ever since the “fraudulent accounting” rumors that began two years ago. On July 18th, in a lawsuit filed against a person calling herself “Himawari Akane,” who started the libelous comments, a judgment was made ordering Himawari to pay 2.2 million yen in damages and to delete the posts. Along with the results of an audit by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government released in March last year, which found no fraud in Colabo’s accounting, this represents official acknowledgment of the fact that Himazora’s lies had disrupted the activities of women’s support groups. But this doesn’t mean the problem is over. In addition to COLABO, Himazora and his supporters have attacked various other social welfare organizations, and even after this ruling was handed down, they have continued to baselessly attack and “ignite” NPOs that support poor children. Himasora ran for the Tokyo gubernatorial election under the name “Hima Sora Akane” and received 110,000 votes. Defamation of organizations that support the poor and minorities has become a lucrative business and is becoming an increasingly serious social problem. The trial, for which a verdict was reached on July 18th, was a lawsuit filed by the women’s support group Colabo against a man calling himself Himazora Akane online (real name: Mizuhara Kiyoaki), who had spread false rumours against the group, claiming that the group was running a “welfare business” in which women were forced to live in “octopus rooms” where they received welfare benefits, and collected 65,000 yen per person per month. According to the defense team, none of Himaka’s arguments were accepted in the ruling. As the defense team also argues, the following passage in the judgment is important: “The defendant (Himazora) harbors strong hostility toward the plaintiff Nito (Nito Yumeno, CEO of collabo), who criticizes the manga, anime, and other content that he enjoys, and acknowledges that such points are his motivation for criticizing the plaintiffs, and it cannot be denied the possibility that he has deliberately misinterpreted the statements in the above-mentioned activity reports, etc.” In other words, the court determined that Himazora may have maliciously spread false rumours with the aim of attacking Nito, whose claims he did not like. In addition to this lawsuit, Himazora is also currently involved in a lawsuit with people related to Collabo, and this ruling may affect the outcome of that lawsuit. At a press conference after the trial, Nito spoke about the enormity of the damage caused by the obstruction of relief activities. The most serious problem is the damage to the recipients of support themselves. There have been cases where the girls they were supporting became anxious, their lives were disrupted, and girls who could have been connected hesitated to get in touch because of false rumors, leading to irreparable situations. These damages cannot be repaired by victory in court. Furthermore, instead of reflecting on these legal defeats, Himazora and his allies are finding new targets to attack and trying to disrupt their activities just as they did with Collabo. One of the organizations targeted was Kids Door, an NPO that provides support to impoverished children. The nonprofit organization Kids’ Door is running a project to provide emergency food assistance during the summer vacation, when school lunches are no longer available, by delivering food items such as rice, dried noodles, and pre-packaged foods in one lump sum to any families that apply, free of charge. The cost, which will be covered through donations, is 8,000 yen per household, including tax and shipping. When the organization’s director, Yumiko Watanabe, uploaded a photo of the food provided through this project to social media, it drew criticism such as “They could do this cheaper” and “They’re taking a cut,” sparking an outrage. Why was “Kids Door” targeted? Since attacking Collabo, Himazora has continued to attack various social welfare NPOs and incorporated associations in the same manner as Collabo. Himazora believes that welfare organizations that work in cooperation with the public sector secretly share the know-how to obtain subsidies fraudulently, and that they are conspiring with various political parties, local governments, and government agencies to form a “public money squeezing scheme.” In fact, no wrongdoing has ever been found in the citizen audits and disclosure requests he has made to various local governments and organizations, but he continues to hold to his theory, and his new target has now become Kids Door. Even if an NPO loses a lawsuit, similar attacks will continue to be made against it, due to the problem of the “slander business’’ that I wrote about in a previous column. In the lawsuit against colabo, Himazora was ordered to pay 2.2 million yen in damages. However, it is said that Himazora has raised over 100 million yen in donations from sympathizers for the purpose of the collabo-related lawsuit, and he also earns revenue from streaming videos and posting note articles based on the trial. Therefore, compensation of a few million yen will not be enough to stop this. (Omitted) ※Previous thread.
You say the attacks are unfounded, but you have provided proper evidence, right? Isn’t it the organization that is running away from the allegations without providing an explanation? Who is right?
Colabo seems to have ties to North Korea, so it’s being criticized by many Japanese people, and they’re acting like victims while engaging in anti-Japanese activities, so they seem to be an anti-Japanese Korean operation group.
Or are feminists weaker now than they were a generation ago? In the past, when feminists were at a disadvantage, they would issue orders on femi.net and other sites requesting emergency action!!! Send a letter of protest to XX all at once! Focus on posting on XX message boards! and do all sorts of manipulation.
They claim to have some mysterious sense of justice and criticize the people who suck public money, but at the same time they silently ignore the even bigger public money sucking from the LDP and the Japan Innovation Party (the Tokyo Olympics, the Osaka Expo, Cool Japan, and of course the illicit funds issue) lol. In the end, they just fawn over the strong and wag their tails, taking the sweet handouts, while the weaker ones just criticize the weaker ones to fill their fragile egos and escape reality, which is basically the lowest way of life for humans. The Himazora Akane believer community.
>>27 That’s just another way of saying, “Do you have time to deal with the problems of Japan and Western countries, while ignoring the existence of Islamic countries where women’s rights are restricted and areas of Africa where there is a custom of mutilating the female genitals?”
There are also slander strategies, such as hinting at “legal action” or actually filing a lawsuit to suppress criticism against oneself. In any case, anyone who uses their name to express an opinion should be exposed to “slander” so that the audience can judge whether they are credible as a speaker.
Himazora has been criminally charged and has been investigated many times. There is a theory that he ran for governor because he was afraid of being arrested, but he lost the civil lawsuit so I guess he’ll be dragged in soon. Even if he loses the civil lawsuit, it won’t hurt him at all, it will just increase the amount of donations from the netouyo. I want him sent to prison for obstruction of business, insults, etc.
