Yuta Bon retracted his announcement to suspend social media activities after just four days, and was met with outrage when he took the high school equivalency exam immediately after entering high school.
《First day of the high school equivalency exam! Okay! Let’s do it!!!》 On August 1, former school-refusal YouTuber Yutabon (15) updated x. He reported that he had taken the “High School Graduation Equivalency Examination (hereinafter referred to as the “High School Equivalency Examination”). The high school equivalency exam is an exam that, if passed, is equivalent to graduating from high school and allows students to go on to university or vocational school, get a job, or obtain qualifications. Yutabon once called himself a “boy revolutionary.” On his YouTube channel, he claimed that “I can go to school whenever I want” and “I am free to not go to school,” and he had been skipping school since elementary school. However, he resumed attending school in the second semester of his third year of junior high school. Although he had aimed to go to high school, he was rejected from his first choice school, so he revealed that he would take the high school equivalency exam in March of this year, and started attending a correspondence high school the following April. On July 28th, Yutabon announced on Twitter that he would be “suspending all social media activity” in preparation for his high school equivalency exam. “I will definitely pass the seven subjects other than English! Life is an adventure while you study!” he declared. The internet is filled with comments of astonishment at his “speedy return” just four days later. “I thought they’d at least suspend classes until the exams were over, since they specifically said they were reporting, but it’s only four days”
“Why did they suspend classes and then resume classes after four days? There’s no way they’ll get results that way! They’re taking the world for granted!”
“They said they were going to concentrate on their studies, so isn’t it too early to resume classes?”
Also, online people are questioning the act of taking the high school equivalency exam so soon after entering high school. “If you enroll in a correspondence high school course, you can graduate from there and still be a high school graduate, so why do you need to get a high school equivalency certificate?” “Even if you take the certification exam and pass, what will you do?” “If you don’t put in any hard work and just seem to want to get results in one leap, you’re just like Hezumaryu. Even in boxing, he would only practice a little right before the match, boast, and lose against opponents who were physically smaller than him. It feels like I haven’t made any progress.》 《I’m sure you’re not serious about passing all the high school equivalency tests, but you’re just pretending, right? I don’t think you can actually do it, but it’s not a waste to pass some of the high school equivalency tests. If the high school accepts it, the subjects you pass for the high school equivalency test can be recognized as high school credits, so it’s not a waste because you can graduate from your current correspondence high school more easily. Isn’t it a PR strategy that takes that into account?》 On August 2nd, the day after the above post, Yutabon reported to x that he had completed the two-day exam schedule, saying, “The second day of the high school equivalency exam has ended safely! Thank you so much to everyone who sent me supportive comments! It was very encouraging! I’ll do my best and wait for destiny! I’ll enjoy studying, but life is an adventure!’’ Will I pass or fail?
>>4 >It’s like applying for a driving school license the day after you enroll in driving school lol No, it’s like taking the general provisional license test at the license center the day after you enroll in driving school.
It’s fine if you can pass. I didn’t go to high school much, but I did attend the school festival, school trip, and drinking party lol. I only went to school when it was convenient, but a correspondence high school is unlikely to become material for YouTube.
>>11 You can just laugh here and say he’s still as stupid as ever without checking the news sites or his SNS. Just by looking at the title of the thread, you can pretty much get the whole story.
There’s no way I’ll even get a high school diploma. I just look at the same questions every day. I don’t even understand how to study. But I understand. In order to drop out of a correspondence high school without submitting any assignments, you need a good reason to say that you are quitting because you have passed the high school equivalency test. Since high school equivalency certificates are not made public, I can lie, just like my dad. I just can’t take the university entrance exam. He’ll probably say he wants to become a professional boxer and declare that he won’t even take the university entrance exams.
What’s the point of taking the high school equivalency test if you’re a correspondence student? Do you think it’s something special? They have questions from elementary and middle schools, and if you get 40% you pass, so I imagine that seems easier than taking a moped.
How lucky do you have to be to take the high school equivalency exam even though you barely attended elementary or middle school and failed the high school of your choice?
I think it’s best to look at the question text to see how difficult the high school graduation certification exam is. The passing score is about 45 points, and many people would say, “If I had taken it when I was in high school, I would have definitely passed.” 2nd High School Graduation Level Certification Exam Questions for 2023.
