A month has passed since the “Yasuko scandal,” when it was as if “there was no such talent called Fuwa-chan,” and she is now being treated as a “dangerous person not to be touched” in the entertainment industry.

On August 4th, comedian Yasuko was subjected to inappropriate verbal abuse by YouTuber Fuwachan on x. The incident, to which Yasuko responded by saying “I’m so sad,” escalated into a major outrage, and Fuwa-chan was forced to suspend her activities on August 11th. Meanwhile, Yasuko will be running in the charity marathon for “24 Hour TV 47: Will Love Save the Earth?” (Nippon TV Network), reaching the finish line at the Ryogoku Kokugikan on September 1st, where a large crowd and her “friends” from the entertainment industry will be waiting for her. It was a month that clearly reflected the “peak” and “rock bottom” of the entertainment world. I wonder where Fuwa-chan is and what she’s doing now. A TV station insider confided: “I have declared with x that I will be based overseas from April onwards, and that doesn’t appear to be changing. I hear he’s currently traveling around overseas. Fuwa-chan, who originally studied abroad, may feel more comfortable here than in Japan.” The biggest reason is probably that Google Japan’s commercial video for the Google Pixel is not publicly available. The Japanese branch of Google, a global corporation that is particularly strict about compliance, made a firm decision. This is thought to have caused the public’s backlash against Fuwa-chan to suddenly erupt. When that happens, it becomes difficult to make statements online, and you have no choice but to remain silent on social media.” It seems that it wasn’t just clients who moved away. A variety show staff member confided that his relationships with fellow comedians and entertainers he worked with have also changed. “Fellow comedians and entertainers who have worked closely with Fuwachan up until now have been trying not to talk about her on TV shows or social media. I heard that people don’t want sparks to fly, so the industry has treated it as something dangerous and you shouldn’t touch it. Not only that, but the atmosphere at the recording site was as if “there was never a talent called ’Fuwa-chan’ in the entertainment industry to begin with.” There were also cases where the saying “let’s not touch the gods, let us not curse them” occurred. “When Tetsuya Morita of Saraba Seishun no Hikari made fun of Fuwa-chan in a parody, it seemed like a turning point for comedians. On August 5th, he caused a minor uproar by quoting a post by x of Kawasaki Bike, a close friend of his, in a joke-like post saying, “You’re not that great, so please stall your engine and I’ll scrap your car.” Morita deleted the post shortly thereafter.” Moreover, perhaps hurt by the deletion of his post, Morita updated the duo’s YouTube channel on August 17th. He posted a video titled “About Fuwa-chan.” In the video, her partner Higashibukuro revealed that Fuwa-chan had been “that way” even before she became famous, and revealed an episode of a past argument between them. Despite having such a past, Morita revealed that he was unable to warn Fuwa-chan because he felt that “it would be uncool if I got angry.” “Morita’s explanation was met with sympathy from the internet, but there were also critical voices saying it was like a game of rock-paper-scissors in hindsight. In other words, it became apparent within the industry that making fun of the incident and looking back on it calmly were no good. Since then, comedians have almost stopped wanting to talk about Fuwa-chan. Continue reading flash 2024/09/04 12:36.
>>1 Is Yasuko’s “Just being alive” really that much of a criticism? It’s a nice phrase. Do the people who criticize her also criticize “Just being alive is a win”?
> Morita said, “It’s lame when you get angry.” Once again, the kotatsu reporter wrote something random without even watching the video. Morita was just joking.
His name was also removed from Ariyoshi’s Summer Vacation I’m sure they put a lot of effort into editing it, but there seem to be a lot of scenes that were removed.
>>29 I don’t watch TV so I haven’t really seen any of them this year (I see their names like crazy on 5ch though lol) At best I saw Fuwa in a commercial for Pixel on Abema before the incident I only found out about Fuwa after the incident lol.
>>35 Miyasako had a supporter called Hikaru and an escape route called YouTube. He also had a restaurant business, which failed. The former was completely shut down, and Fuwa is even tougher than Miyasako.
A character like this wouldn’t be possible without the guarantee that he was polite behind the scenes. It’s starting to become clear that Fuwa is a total jerk to everyone else, even though he fawns over big names on Chihara Jr.’s YouTube channel.
