Kawaguchi Haruna opens 28 new Hama Sushi stores, Ashida Mana takes Suzuki to the top spot for the first time in 9 years and 5 months... Celebrities who appear in commercials see their products sell like hotcakes.
Kawaguchi Haruna’s Hama Sushi increased its number of stores by 28, Ashida Mana took Suzuki to the top for the first time in 9 years and 5 months… Celebrities who appeared in commercials “make products sell like hotcakes” [Major advertising agency conducts major survey] 10/13 (Sun) 6:00 distribution smartflash Kawaguchi Haruna ranked first in number of subscribers in the first half of 2024, and Ashida Mana ranked second “Many clients are worried about the rush of price hikes,” says a casting manager at a major advertising agency. [Photos] Unstoppable momentum! Kawai Yumi is on the verge of being unable to accept offers. “It’s hard to get a new product into the hands of consumers. “Major advertising agencies create lists of celebrities who have significantly increased product sales by appearing in commercials, and provide them to their clients.” (ibid.) Let’s take a look at some individual stories from the list obtained by this magazine. Let’s start with Kawaguchi Haruna, who had the highest number of commercial contracts as of the first half of 2024 (the following periods are the same unless otherwise noted). A commercial analyst from a major advertising agency speaks. “Kawaguchi has contracts with 21 companies, and is expected to further increase the number of contracts in the second half of the year. “Kawaguchi is in high demand not only because of her name recognition, but also because she has a clean and reliable image, and because she has few detractors.” Another advantage is that she is on the rise as a celebrity, which matches the company’s image. “Hamazushi, the third largest conveyor belt sushi chain in the industry, has seen a clear increase in the number of young office ladies visiting their restaurants since they started using Kawaguchi in their commercials. While Sushiro and Kura Sushi are aimed at families, Hama Sushi aims to appeal to younger people and women. The results are steadily coming in, with Sushiro increasing its store numbers by four compared to the same month last year in July this year, Kura Sushi increasing by nine, and Hama Sushi increasing by 28, far surpassing the top chains. Zensho Holdings, which operates the site, is calling this figure a “special demand for Ha-chan” and is apparently very happy about it.” (ibid.) While Kawaguchi has garnered support from young office ladies, Ashida Mana, who is in second place in the female division with 14 contract companies, has more influence among housewives than her peers. “Ashida’s image is that of a well-behaved ’ideal young lady. From the client’s perspective, he was the perfect choice when considering safety and security, and now that he turned 20 this year, he will be able to appear in a wider range of commercials, and the number of contracts is likely to increase even more.” (ibid.) His current most well-known work is for Hitachi home appliances. Her high energy appearance in a red outfit is impressive. “She has appeared in commercials for a variety of products, including refrigerators and washing machines, planting the image of ’Ashida Mana = Hitachi’ in the minds of consumers. In addition, commercials for Yamazaki Baking, Ajinomoto, and Sato Foods are also popular among young housewives. In the automobile industry, she appeared in a commercial for Suzuki’s Spacia, which appealed to families with small children, helping the company top new car sales in May 2024 for the first time in nine years and five months.” (ibid.) >>2 Yeah, Downtown was at Kura Sushi. Now that Matsumoto is no longer appearing, Hama-chan is doing the Kura Sushi commercials by himself, but if that’s the case, wouldn’t it have been better if Hama-chan had just done the Hama Sushi commercials by himself from the beginning? But I don’t think that old guy could have created the momentum Hama Sushi has today lol.
The only product I’ve ever bought because of a celebrity’s image in a commercial is Yukie Nakama’s shampoo. I don’t think a celebrity’s image has that much of an impact on things like store numbers or car purchases.
>>12 I totally get it I won’t mention the name out of respect for the person, but I want to avoid food commercials with celebrities who don’t seem clean, regardless of gender.
Hama Sushi has high quality among conveyor belt sushi restaurants in the same price range. There are Kura Sushi and Sushiro in front of the nearby station, but Hama Sushi is by far the most crowded.
In business, results are everything, and Kawaguchi and Ashida delivered results as PR staff. Unemployed people probably can’t understand this, but in this world, results are everything.
Conversely, if Kawaguchi and Ashida are appointed but the business performance does not improve, it will be deemed to have no advertising effect and Kawaguchi and Ashida will be removed, because results are everything. I don’t think unemployed people can understand this, but in this world, results are everything.
I learned about NIDEK through Kawaguchi Haruna lol I’ve improved my image of Hama Sushi Aina’s commercial for Spacia is cute, Muro Tsuyoshi’s commercial for Spacia Gear is ridiculous, gross lol.
