Kagome (Nagoya City) conducted the “Kagome Vegetable Survey 2024” by the “Kagome Vegetable Survey Team,” which investigates and analyzes the actual state of vegetable intake and the factors that lead to vegetable deficiencies. The results have been announced. The survey was conducted via internet from August 9 to August 11, 2024, targeting men and women aged 15 to 69 nationwide. A total of 4680 valid responses were received (2340 men and 2340 women). The most disliked vegetable among children was eggplant (24.3%). This was a close second, beating out the 2nd place “green pepper” (24.1%). According to the company,

I’ve never had the experience of disliking eggplant, so I can’t empathize. Maybe it’s the combination of the hard exterior and soft flesh that makes it squishy.
