The exchange meeting, held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, was attended by representatives from producers, collection organizations, wholesalers, and other organizations. This year’s new rice continues to trade at high prices, with the average relative trading price for all brands in October increasing 57% from the same month last year, setting a new record high for two consecutive months. Participants expressed opinions such as “there is fierce competition among traders who collect rice from farmers to sell,” and some expressed the view that prices may continue to rise in the future.
