In response to a series of complaints from athletes from various countries about the food in the athletes’ village at the Paris Olympics, forcing organizers to respond, the British newspaper The Times (online edition on the 25th) reported that a British athlete had revealed that “the food in Paris is much worse than at the last Olympics.” The Athletes’ Village at the Paris Olympics will prepare 40,000 meals a day, with the main restaurant able to seat 3,300. But according to The Times, one of the British players said: “We are struggling with food. Japan was well organised (at the last tournament) but here it’s not as organised as we would have hoped. A lot of people have arrived in the past few days and now it’s chaos. If you go during peak hours, it can be hard to even get a piece of chicken,” he said. According to The Times, the British rowing team are staying in a hotel closer to the competition venue rather than in the athletes’ village, but one athlete who visited the village said, “We are grateful to be able to stay in a hotel and be able to eat,” and “The food in Paris is much worse than at the last Olympics.” According to French media, the British and German teams last week criticised the food in the athletes’ village, saying it was “not in line with the menu or quantity the athletes wanted”, with the British team saying they had already brought in their own chef. Organizers initially placed an emphasis on local produce and organic products when creating the menu, but after complaints from players, they responded by procuring large quantities of additional eggs and meat. >>4 The people who say it’s bad just don’t like the taste >>8 There are many varieties, it’s not just sashimi. You can eat whatever you want, so why are you complaining? lol
>>7 I guess a high-ranking manager walks around with his mouth half open. I saw this at Carrefour in Chiba, which I visited after a game show. It was a no-good French supermarket.
>>8 There’s so much food lined up, but you go out of your way to pick sashimi and then get angry because you can’t eat it. What kind of twisted person are you? lol
The tea in England is delicious. It’s great to spread jam and cream on a mushy scone and wash it down with milk tea, but it makes you fat. Other tea and snacks are also delicious. The bread sold at supermarkets is also delicious. The flavor of this tea and bread is so delicious that it’s hard to find it in Japan. London offers delicious Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisine. In France, baguettes, croissants and similar items are delicious. An acquaintance of mine who studied abroad in Germany likes German bread.
