A man (29) carrying a black parasol, who had come to Ginza from Kanagawa Prefecture to have dinner with his mother, said: “It’s not just hot, it hurts. A parasol can create shade, so it feels like you’re moving around in the shade, which is great. When I touch the surface of the parasol, it feels hot, and if I didn’t use it, I would be exposed to a lot of UV rays.”
