[Bethel Park Kyodo News] According to US media, Thomas Crooks (20), the suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Trump, works at a nursing home and was recognized as an outstanding student in science and math subjects in high school, but he had few friends and was bullied, according to some testimonies. He also tried to join a shooting club.
He grew up in Bethel Park, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is about an hour’s drive from Butler, Pennsylvania, where the crime occurred, and is an area with many middle-class families.
“He would sit alone at lunch and people would make fun of his clothes.” A high school classmate recalled that the suspect was bullied almost every day. Another classmate said, “He was a good kid who didn’t say anything bad about others, so I didn’t think he would commit such a crime.”
He has no criminal history, and the nursing home’s executives said in a statement that there were no problems with the background checks conducted at the time of his employment.
He donated money to Democratic organizations at the age of 17, but was registered to vote as a Republican at the age of 18.

If you’re jealous of someone who couldn’t go to college despite having excellent grades and couldn’t find a job at a nursing home even though they’re young, blame the Biden administration instead.
>>5 I was told in the previous thread that his father is a psychiatrist and earns a high salary. It wasn’t a problem with tuition or grades, but with bad behavior (he attacked a classmate).
At the very least, bullies are chimpanzee-like and not human. Chimpanzees bully and kill others by continuing to hit them with stones even after they have fallen. Approximately 90% of chimpanzees have participated in the killing of their peers at some point in their lives.
You look like you’re not popular with women. Over there, you’re a man who’s not popular with women, so you’re probably ridiculed. In Japan, no one will say anything even if you’re a loner.
>>19 He was probably called a geek or a nerd, but he was also active in LGBT activities, so maybe it didn’t matter if he wasn’t popular with the ladies. Instead, he might have been called a faggot.
America is the country that beats down and kills weak, innocent, unfortunate young people like this, and then everyone raises their arms and shouts “U.S.A.” This incident is symbolic.
He’s still 20, which means he was a 12-year-old kid when Trump was first elected. He probably doesn’t know anything about the terribleness of the Obama and Clinton administrations that came before him. It’s crazy to suddenly assassinate someone out of hatred for Trump without knowing the dark side of America.
>>38 The criminal got on the roof about 5 minutes ago. There’s a video of the sniper who shot him aiming at him the whole time. The security officer said at the press conference, “We held off on the first attack, but it was a failure.”
The suspect graduated from a local public high school with a total of about 1,300 students in 2022. He was recognized as a recipient of the school’s annual National Math & Science Initiative Star Award and received a $500 prize/scholarship. This was reported in local news in the same year. — The suspect’s grades were the best in his grade.
