Ambassador to Japan Emanuel proposes the creation of a trade coalition against China...envisioning an economic version of NATO. With Harris’ victory, he will be appointed to a key position, and efforts to make it a reality may move forward.
[Kyodo News, Washington] In a contribution to the Wall Street Journal dated the 9th, U.S. Ambassador to Japan Emanuel called for the creation of a trade coalition of U.S. allies to counter China’s economic coercion. It is envisioned as an economic version of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which stipulates collective defense. Emanuel is known for his tough stance against China. There is speculation that if Democratic Vice President Harris wins the U.S. presidential election in November, she will be appointed to a key position in the new administration, and depending on the results of the presidential election, moves toward making this a reality could progress. In his essay, Emanuel criticized China for “using economic coercion and debt traps to control countries.” Citing examples of countries supporting Australia and the small European nation of Lithuania when they faced economic pressure from China, he called for allies to “take a united response” to China’s economic coercion. Let’s make the yen the world’s key currency. Not this year or next year, but someday. That’s the answer, right? Hey, spy pot LOLOLOLOL. Or should I write Tsuruko as Satan?
The boss of the diversity yakuza. I like rainbow colors. The mask is also rainbow colored. But even if Harris becomes president, she will still step down as ambassador to Japan. Goodbye.
When you hear the name Emmanuel, you should think of the boy, who is a different celebrity with the same name. But it’s not so good to think of his wife.
Storage batteries, solar panels, BEVs I want to move the manufacturing supply chain to developing countries outside of China (I also considered semiconductors, but I want developed countries to do that).
