In the US presidential election, Trump appeared at a rally in Florida around 4:30 pm Japan time and declared victory. Trump expressed his joy by embracing his wife Melania and other family members on stage. “This was a historic election,” Trump said in his speech. “This is a historic victory,” he said, before declaring victory and expressing his determination as the next president to “fight for the people.” With the Republican Party winning a majority in the Senate and on track to gain more seats in the House of Representatives, Trump thanked his family and supporters, saying he would “build a golden age for America.” In addition to winning large electoral districts in Texas and Florida, Trump also won in the battleground states of North Carolina (16 electoral voters), Pennsylvania (19 electoral voters), and Georgia (16 electoral voters).
