[November 9, AFP] An investigation has been launched after the disappearance of samosas, a staple Indian snack prepared for the state chief minister at a party, and it has been revealed that five police officers are likely to be disciplined for allegedly eating the snacks. The country’s media reported on the 8th. Samosas are made by wrapping meat or vegetable fillings in wheat flour dough and deep frying them, and are served on trains and on street corners all over India. It has become a staple dish at government events, and a special samosa was prepared for the chief minister of the northern state of Himachal Pradesh at a reception organised by police last month for his official visit. However, it never made it into his mouth, and was instead eaten by five police officers.
