The names of the “leading candidates for the presidential election” have been narrowed down to three...the only way for the LDP to revive is to choose from among these!
The LDP presidential election has effectively begun. Based on the LDP’s unique “survival skills in times of crisis,” at this point in time, the battle is likely to revolve around three people: Minister of State for Economic and Security Takaichi Sanae, former Environment Minister Koizumi Shinjiro, and former Minister of State for Economic and Security Kobayashi Takayuki. Following Kobayashi, who was the first to announce his candidacy, Takaichi and former Secretary-General Ishiba Shigeru are also reportedly making arrangements to announce their candidacy soon. Koizumi has also decided to run. It is said that there are a total of 11 or 12 candidates aiming to run, making it an unprecedentedly fierce battle. Needless to say, the presidential election is an election chosen by LDP members and their Diet members, and ordinary citizens do not have the right to vote. This is why sometimes a president who is out of touch with the will of the people is elected. However, this time the circumstances are different. Read more about Modern Business here.

>As a result, Takaichi, Koizumi, and Kobayashi remain as the three most likely candidates. Ah, it’s Hasegawa’s article. Hasegawa-san will probably be rooting for Takaichi
Personally, I think the final showdown will be between the two women, Takaichi Sanae vs. Kamikawa Yoko.
